This Morning (Hike, Oil Pulling)

I'm in Taos, New Mexico and have been blogging on the school website (http://blog.smu.edu/StudentAdventures/udoka_in_taos/ ).

Last night, I came to realize that I was holding up to bad habits again. Staying up late for no reason, procrastinating, etc. My body was responding in annoying ways. I decided that I need to restart my active journey for health.

This morning, I woke up at 4:30 am to walk (literally) up a mountain for 1 hour and sun gaze at sun-rise. I was so sleepy on the way up, but what they say about sun gazing is right! I felt quite awake on the way down. It was great! A great sense of accomplishment with a spectacular view. As we came down, I was very hungry. It feels SO good to be SO hungry and then eat good food because you deserve it. I'm also sore in certain places which I actually like. My body hasn't been sore in a while. I also enjoy the idea that my day got started at 5am instead of 8 or 9am. It makes me feel like I already have momentum for the day while everyone else is just getting geared up.

After I ate, I tried a technique called OIL PULLING. I just used olive oil they had in the kitchen here (this place is like a camp for 20 year olds). You're supposed to swish a small amount of oil in your mouth for 20 minutes, but I could only handle about 10. My mouth was hurting (which supposedly meant I did too much work... you ought to use your tongue more) and also, I felt like some liquid mucous was trying to ride up my throat and into my nose. I spit out my oil. I was in the shower which may explain that weird sensation, but how do you explain the next one?

I applied my african black soap, per normal and my cheeks and mouth area started to burn. Afterwards, I typically put 10 drops of orange oil and 2 drops of lavendar oil all over my face. Nothing burns unless I accidentally get my eye area. But this time, my face BURNED! I could only apply my solution to my neck and even then, I reduced it to 3 orange oil drops and 1 lavendar.

So, already, my morning was semi-eventful. Updates later.

Radiant Beauty

I feel compelled to blog because perhaps a change is occurring to me now. People have been commenting on how healthy I look. Its not just a close friend or one acquaintance. Multiple people on various relationship-levels have been saying it.

I began to think "What am I doing differently?"

I'm doing a lot of things. I take my hair vitamins from Hairfinity. Every so often, I take some herbal supplements, depending on how my body is feeling. I take Garlic at times. Hmm...

Something else I've been doing is eating mostly organic foods when I cook. And wild Atlantic salmon.

Also, for my skin, I've altered my regime (which I'll make a video & update about shortly with the new cameras we can now check out at the school). I've made it simple, but effective (I hope).

Finally, I've been working out and dancing several times a week. As well as keeping my bowel movements regular (it used to be TERRIBLE).

But here's the thing, people. I am not very consistent. My facial regime is the most consistent thing because I can do part of it in the shower. The dancing is the next most consistent because I have a responsibility towards it. The rest... not as much. I wonder what would happen if I WAS consistent? Would I shine like a super star?

I always say "stay tuned" for new blogs, but I'm inconsistent with this thing, as well! So here's hoping you hear from me soon. :)

The Darker the Berry, the Sweeter the Juice

I've been so busy with school, but now it's spring break. I have time to relax and update this blog! I also want to note that a friend and I are going to attempt a research project that I will be telling you about later.

I was going through my usual articles and I've decided to abide by a rule I just now made up:

THE DARKER IT IS, THE BETTER.

For example, if you have the option of a dark grape or a white grape, eat the dark one:
See this article

Or if you have the option of red beans or black beans... eat the black one!
See this article

Can you think of any other foods that this rule applies to?

New Stuff to Try!

Okay, so I've vowed to stop getting stuff because I always end up not liking them or not using them. But these are important...! And they finally arrived. And all of them (except the Maca) were free!

I didn't even ask Live Live & Organic to send me these. It is an eye/lip cream and a facial mask. Yes, well be using. Will make a video review. :)

Now, this is the item that I had my eyes set on. Skinfood. Supposedly, this is the ultimate moisturizer.

Whoo! I got my MACA, baby! It smells like wheat graham crackers. I can't wait to start taking this every-day. The pill is small and very swallow-able. I'm so excited! I'm ready to have a lot of energy and a more shapely body. And balanced hormones for once in my life!

This came with the MACA. It looks great for a day when I'm feeling a bit sick.

So, I plan to make a video review of these things some time in October. On another note, I am trying to make myself set aside an hour of where I just get ready for bed. This is supposed to give me time to wash my face, take my vitamins and plan my next day. I often just wait until I am too sleepy and pass out on my bed. Sleep-time is the best time to put vitamins and topical stuff on your body because your body is doing the most re-genitive work at that time.

Laser Hair Removal Treatment Again

Ow, so I went to my laser treatment again. This is my 3rd one.

I can say that the past two has removed about 30% of my hair so far. And eliminated ingrown hairs.

But a new nurse practitioner got me this time. I think she increased the power on that machine because my chin is now red and looking bruised. She said it is normal, but I don't trust doctors --- oh, no, she's not even a doctor. Anyway, this crap better heal quick.

I am giving myself a soothing facial (steamed with water infused with vitamin E, Avocado & Oatmeal mask, coconut oil and vitamin E). I need to keep my skin clean and moisturized. I think I am even going to start using my foundation because these bruise marks are embarrassing...

And apparently, there is a numbing cream! I am just now hearing about this. They sold me 5 grams of this 'LMX' for $15 (which appears to be normal price). And the usual hydro cortisone cream which I will not be using, as usual.

- The Next Morning -
My facial seems to be working. The bruises are still there, but they aren't as bad as they were last night.

I Bought Maca

So, I've given up on my diligent hair adventure. After a summer of incredibly growth and satisfaction, things seem to be slowing down. It could be stress. Now that I am in school. Even though I have been trying to reduce stress, living with my parents is not easy. Every single day... I don't even have to have DONE anything. They find SOME reason to make me feel bad about myself. Its incredibly annoying and it is very stressful. To come home and have someone ask you questions about things that happened a month ago because they are wanting to berate you and psychologically beat you into being whatever it is they want you to be.

I am still going to put on my calendar when I do chemicals... ugh. Let's not even talk about chemicals. I /really/ want to do a 3 month stretch. The only thing in my way is my mother. I've been putting my foot down more and more and more. I've been releasing more and more of my ideas. Where as before, I'd hold back to make tension less, I have been slowly increasing tension whenever she asks me something that has to do with my desires or beliefs. Last time, we went a month and a half. Hoping to double that this time.

So yes, I will still calendar chemicals, hair braiding, and take photos of growth. But that's it. No more "challenges" or obsessing over taking something every single day. I have my list of things to do and I will take them and not feel bad for missing a day.

But I have a new pill to add to my regime. As if the 2 - 4 wasn't bad enough.

MACA!

It will supposedly enhance my womanly shape (rounder hips and breasts) and give me more energy! And a few other benefits, but those two are the main reasons I bought this. On top of the fact that I have high testosterone levels and I get hormonal acne.

Is my hair growing?

*sigh*

I spent the past two weeks working out. My body feels great, but my hair doesn't seem to have grown an inch...

It doesn't make sense. I am not the most consistent person in the world, but I've been trying. I've been working out to increase my circulation. What exactly is missing that my hair isn't growing?

Clothes & Shopping

I have been shopping a lot lately and I have come to realize that my first stop should be Wal-Mart and Target.

If you know what you want and what you are looking for, these places are a cheap one-stop shop! And you might see something you like. If you're kind of Boho, Wal-Mart sells Taylor Swift line and her BFF, Miley Cyrus is finally joining her with her casual glam punk kind of look.

I'm going to start taking photos of myself because I really want to join this website:
www.lookbook.nu

And I find myself shopping everyday. I buy different accessories since I already have a large wardrobe. I bought a new little satchel purse, a coach wallet (50$), vest, leggings, jewlery, etc... and these little things are really good to make my outfits look different.

Okay, I just updated because I was bored.

Oh! And this girlll! Look at her style. I love it:

Staple Products - Favourites pt. 1

Entitled part one because I cannot wait to start using my new natural products.

So far, I only really have two things on my "Always buy" list.

Product: Silky Souffle
Price: $11.95 (8oz)
Company: Naturally Yours (http://naturallyyours.ecrater.com/)
Why?: I tend to have a lot of brand-name loyalty. If you read my blog, then you should be able to tell. If I love one thing by your company and I like the way your company operates I tend to stick with it. So I signed up for the newsletter and got notified of this new wonderful product! This company is the company I would buy my african black soap and shea butter from, but since this product, I haven't used the prior 2 items. Unrefined shea butter in a quick-absorbing moisturizer is VERY hard to find. I use this on my face and in my hair. I messed mine up, though. I am lazy and leave things in my car, so it melted. Its not as light as it used to be, but still a much better alternative to just straight up shea butter and still absorbs well. I use it for whatever I would use shea butter for. It is as good and/or better than shea butter so far.

Product: Tea Tree Lemon Soap
Price: $5.00
Company: Dress Green (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5034024)
Why?: Another "comany" (?) that I feel loyalty to. Her products are all pretty good that I have tried. Her soaps smell so good. But this is the one I love the most. The soaps LOOK delicious and appealing. At the same time, the soap does exactly everything I bought it for. I use it on my body, but you can use it on your face. It helps clean up bacteria on and under my skin and it doesn't leave my skin dry when I step out of the shower. In fact, I can go most of the day with no lotion without getting ashy.

Product: Diva Smooth

I just did the review for it below. Now, the only thing I am thinking of is Castor Oil. I find castor oil is THE BEST oil EVER for my new growth (needless to say, it is also a staple of mine). It is EVEN MESSIER to apply to my hair. I wonder how wonderful it would be to add a bit of castor oil to this diva smooth?

Diva Smooth & Texturizer (long post & review)

I finally used Diva Smooth Review!

Product: Diva Smooth
Price:$25.00 (8oz)
Company:Janelle Beauty (http://www.janellebeauty.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=68)
Claims: Helps stretch out relaxers, makes going natural easier.
Ingredients: Organic raw wild honey, Olea europaea (Organic olive) oil, Sucrose (Sugar) Extract, Zea mays Starch, Citrus medica limonum (organic lemon) extract, (Acetic acid) vinegar, tocopherol (vitamin E), blended essential oils
Opinion: Don't use this as a deep conditioner. Put this on dry hair, otherwise it won't do anything. Unless honey is great for your DC. For me, honey does nothing as a DC. When I use this on dry hair, ladiessss.... smooth, silky, omg. I can't say much for what it does to curls because that is not my concern. My concern is to have manageable new growth to last me until the next chemical treatment. It is messy. Next time, I might add a few oils to see if it makes it a little less sticky. And I'm sure heating it will only make it work better!

Verdict: Yes, I will buy this again. I have been pre-poo'ing with oils with my natural hair which is nightmare-ish. This makes my hair manageable and soft and oh my god. This is a staple in my regime now.  I only put it on my new growth to make the bottle last longer. Considering that I use this when I am taking down braids. I already have a conditioner on my relaxed hair. This goes the extra mile for my new growth and when some gets onto my relaxed hair - Oh, heaven! This is expensive so I gotta make it last. This works with or without aid of anything. I tried to use plain HONEY (organic) to see if it works as well as this. Nope. Hah. Not even close and WAY too sticky. Someone, create an alternative to this so I can save money! In the mean time, Janelle is getting mine. ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I texturized my hair today!! Here is what I did/should have done/will do next time.
One-Week Preparation:
1.  EXCELLENT Pre-poo for new growth (Diva Smooth)
2. Cleansing wash (Mane n Tail, but looking for sulfate-free alternative)
3. Heavy Protein treatment (Aphogee 2 step)
4. Deep condition (still looking for a decent one...)
1/2 Hour Preparation:
1. Sectioned my hair into 6 parts (I bought cute NON-METAL clippies)
2. Grease scalp and shaft (ANYTHING with petroleum as main ingredient)
3. Put conditioner into relaxer chemical (I put DOVE volumizer because I needed to hurry up and finish that product)
After Treatment:
1. Rinse chemical out
2. Apply yogurt to hair (A LOT! Pile it on, baby, otherwise it does nothing) and leave for 3 - 20 minutes
3. Neutralizing Shampoo
4. Conditioner (from the box)
5. Moisturize (Aphogee Greet-Tea Reconstructor for some extra protein)
6. Seal (Coconut oil and shea butter)
Results: Excellent! I was very scared and distraught earlier because I had quite a bit of new growth (thankyou MN, Sulfur, and Hairfinity!!) that I didn't know how to control and may have been causing me a lot of breakage. I couldn't find any product that was working for my hair. It was just a mess. I was going to wait until SEPTEMBER to texturize, but I couldn't take it anymore. I am extremely pleased. My hair hasn't completed dried yet, but its very soft. It is thicker than it was. Its longer. The texturizer came out very well, even though my mother insisted on making me wait a little longer (I think I was there for 25 minutes instead of 15) and she over-laps a lot. Let me tell you, a TEXTURIZER does not straighten your hair like a tex-lax or relaxer can. I don't know why people would suggest a beginner like me to texlax! First of all, how do I stay within the time limit? Second of all, how do I deal with over lapping? Ridiculous. I'm texturizing for a long time, people.
Natural Products but Keeping a Few Chems
I am still in the process of organizing my old products and getting them ready for selling. I hope this actually works. I'm tired of all this clutter. There are a few products that I am going to keep.
The first one is Empress Re-gro Scalp Moisturizer. Yes, it has petroleum. Its a grease. But it smells oh-so-good and the texture is very easy to move around in your hair and manipulate. I'm going to use this as my base and hair protector when I do my chemical relaxers.
The second one is my Mane n Tail conditioner. Using this when I was taking down my braids/weave was a really great investment. My hair was soft, tangle free, and washed much easier. I've used other conditioners and so far, this is the simplest, best one.
I'm starting to collect information on natural herbs and remedies. I'm most concerned with something that will naturally strengthen/thickening hair and take care of the roots/follicles. I found interest in:
Indian Gooseberry (aka Alma)
Henna
Geranium
Rosemary
Alfalfa juice
Oh, and I took the homemade pledge (in the side bar). I am going to try to start buying handmade beauty and cleaning products or use my own. Is it okay if I consider LUSH handmade? Yeah, actually, it IS handmade. Hm! :)
I Did a Relaxer!
I did someone else's relaxer for the first time! Learned a lot!
First, I learned that smoothing out the hair is quite important. I think if you smooth the hair well, the chemical doesn't even need to be on there very long.
The thing is, it took me over 15 minutes to put it on! Wow! So many people suggested I "tex-lax", but there is no way I would apply it in such a short amount of time (10 minutes, right? Wow!). That requires some skill!
So anyway, I am cleaning my room and realized I have a lot of products. In fact, when I did my friends hair, I was using products that I was trying desperately to get rid of (the Aveda and the Cholesterol...). I have this great idea now. Oh the Black Hair Forums, I encountered a girl asking me to sell her my Sulfur 8 so she can try it at a cheaper price. Asking me to sell her my Mega Tek and stuff. I decided that I am going to see if I can't sell some of my beauty products! I'll make a youtube video, advertise it on hair and skin forums and see what happens. :) Who knows? If this is a success, I might even start a real(er) website.
Deep Conditioners are a Shame
Okay, I think I am done. I have tried SO many deep conditioners. I am done. Why, you ask?
A) Most of them have Petroleum, mineral oil, or lanolin
B) OR they have -cones
No, no, no! I don't want something that will coat my hair and make it "feel" soft. I want something that will actually GET TO WORK! I have come to the conclusion that all these deep conditioners... Cholesterol, Mayo-treatments, Placenta, yada, yada are just glorified conditioners. I'm sure... yes, I am actually quite positive you can get just as good results using your REGULAR conditioner for 1o minutes with a cap on and maybe some heat. So I am done. I am never buying a product labeled "deep conditioner" ever again.
I am going to try to use up as much of the products I have as I can and I am going to buy all natural hair products with good reviews from now on. In the future, I look forward to:
Low-Poo by Deva Curl
HoneySuckle Rose by Aubrey Organics
I'll pre-poo with whatever oils I have and use my coconut oil right after a wash, as usual. I have my shea butter to moisturize my hair and use the leave-in when I have braids or something. Of course, my ACV will be my daily scalp cleanser when I have braids, as well.
That's it. I may not even buy Aphogee Protein treatment anymore (don't get me wrong, ladies... it is a good treatment!). I may just go ahead and just add an egg to my conditioner (I haven't tried it yet, but I will ASAP to see if it can replace Aphogee). I'm tired of spending money on things that are not necessary.
There is ONE last product I will try before I lose all hope
And that is Diva Smooth. Its all organic and made out of honey. Its supposed to make your hair silky smooth so that you can use a flat iron. And it probably works. Its mainly honey, but it works much better than honey. There's also sugar in there. Anyway... I can't wait to use this.
Organic Moisture, Cholesterol, ORS Serum
As you should know, I LOVE natural cures and supporting small businesses. Well, I came across this link:
http://www.highonhealth.org/the-best-moisturizer-for-acne-prone-skin-bee-yummy-skinfood™/
Sounds fantastic, doesn't it? I cannot wait to get my hands on this stuff! However, 2 oz is $30! Yikes!
I used a Cholesterol treatment for the first time. It is pretty good. It left my hair feeling naturally soft! Works much better than ORS Mayo did for me. However, I am concerned about the ingredients:
The one I am using in particular contains mineral oil, petroleum, AND lanolin. And various alcohols.
*sigh* However, Cholesterol does have great affects on me. Hopefully I can find an all natural version of this. Note: Lekair's cholesterol only has Mineral Oil. Lesser of the two evils?
Ow, ow, ow! I just used ORS Fertilizing Serum for the first time. OWW! I put it on area that aren't exactly balding. This stuff ITCHES!!! I am never putting it anywhere else on my head again. I didn't realize how much more potent the serum would be versus the temple balm. I'm excited. I hope this means fantastic growth on my temples.
>_< Oh crap! It burns, man. Ow, ow...! Big mistake!
LUSH review and At-Home Facial
Hey, guys!
I did a little at home facial. Something I have been meaning to do once a week for a while now!
1. Wash face with my papaya soap (I've used up my black soap. its so drying, so I just used it as a body soap)
2. Used Ocean Salt scrub by LUSH (this is actually a harsh scrub. I want to use it on my body. If you are sensitive skin, do not use. However, I will note my face looked RADIANT afterwards!)
3. Put a Vitamin E tab (by LUSH) in a bowl of boiling water and steamed my face
4. Put my avocado mask on until it dried
5. Washed off and used left over water as a toner then moisturized with Gorgeous (by LUSH)
All in all, I am happy with the results. I will be sure to note that next time, I'll use the sea salt scrub AFTER the avocado mask. In case you don't know, the avocado mask is more about opening and cleaning out the pores (which is why its a good idea for me to steam up and open my pores first). The scrub removes dead skin and increases cell turnover rate which is something I, in particular, really need. I think it makes more sense to cleanse then exfoliate, doesn't it?
Also, I want to review some of these LUSH products.
Aromacreme
I love this deodorant! Especially when I use it with tea tree oil.
Aromarant ("rant" is right! lol!)
When I first apply it, I smell like a man. By the end of the day, i smell like I didn't even bathe!! Good for foot odor, though.
Moisturizers
http://www.lushusa.com/shop/products/face/moisturizers
I have tried many of them. The best one is Gorgeous because it leaves your face feeling like you didn't put anything at all. Its not oily in the least, and yet even my ultra-dry skin is happy! This moisturizer isn't effective on my hair, though. Its also rather expensive ($89). I like Shang Ri La but it might be a tad oily for some people. Its good on my hair, but not as good as shea butter. Imperialis and Cosmetic Lad feel the same as Shang Ri La on my skin, but Cosmetic Lad was great in my hair! (I put it on natural and texturized hair)
Ugh! I LOVE the concept! I have always felt steaming was one of the BEST ways for me to clear MY skin (I used to do it in my early teens), but some how, I stopped. These tabs got me back into doing it because after reading several books, I am convinced that my skin needs to come into contact with some vitamins and antioxidants. What better way than deep into the pores? I use the left over water to wash off my mask or my hair or anything else.
I am going to look into the hair products soon. :)
Laser treatment #2
Yowzah!
I did my second hair removal treatment!
Ow! They really do STING! Its just the strangest sensation. This time, the nurse practitioner used a machine called Laserscope. Its like a continuous... thing. She puts a very cool aloe gel on my skin. Then that laser runs along and you can HEAR it ZAPPING hair follicles. The thicker the hair I have there, the more it hurts. And it gets warm and hot! Its just strange! First cool then hot then stingy... ow! Except for on my neck where it tickled just because I am a very ticklish person.
I didn't allow her to do anything around my lips because it felt like the laser was zapping all the way to my gums and teeth! Plus it was just an odd odd odd sensation, even if it didn't hurt.
The one we used before was Gentle Yag. I /heard/ it is the best, but that source is very... not reliable. It doesn't hurt as much as the Laserscope. The gentle yag feels like a big burst of air. Sometimes it does sting a lot! But sometimes it doesn't hurt at all. I would rather have that than the laserscope. :/
Anyway, so after my first treatment, as you know, hair grew back but then it broke. Until finally there was normal hair growth that didn't break. I'd say 25 - 50% less hair growth than before and only 1 - 3 ingrown hairs (this is an AMAZING thing for me, people). So, I'm really excited to see what the results will be after today! :)
Slacking - Hair Finity and Growth Aids w/ Sulfur
*sigh* I have been slacking again. This has been a rough month with doctor appointments and such. But when I had this blog, I was more on top of my hair care.
Well, firstly, let me post results I got with vitamins called Hair Finity
Before Hair finity, my hair grew 1/4 of an inch every month or less. But now...
That's a bit more. I think that's half an inch.
Here are some more results.
But, now, I want a topical growth aid. Looking into
Claudie's @ $17 for 8 oz.(she offered to put extra ingredient in there for free for me)
Bee Mine @ $13 for 8 oz.
Patience @ $13 for 4 oz.
They are all natural and organic and contain sulfur. No more petroleum for me! Sulfur 8 didn't work as well for me because my pores were getting clogged. Nu Gro didn't work as well because it clogged my pores. They worked, but they probably could have been better. The only thing that has worked is MN because the nitrate opens pores.
P.S. I'm not getting a root canal. These dentists are just trying to fucking wring money out of me with their ignorance.
Hair Wish List
I said I wanted to go natural when it comes to beauty and hair care. But at this moment, I don't have time or freedom to experiment as much as I want. Give me a few more years. :/ For example, coconut milk is about the BEST conditioner I have ever used in my life... but after 3 days, it goes bad.
But in the mean time, I am going to experiment with the products I have while I wait for them to finish, here is my wish-list of what I will purchase when they run out.
Aveda deep conditioner - $24
Aphogee Pro-Vitamin Leave-in
Aphogee Green Tea
Aphogee 2 step protein + balancing moisturiser
Mmmm.... I think that's it. I need to come up with an actual hair regime that I can say "This is what I do and when I do it..."
EDIT
I bought the whole Aphogee line minus the shampoo because it contains sulfate. I didn't buy the Aveda because I am going to try CHOLESTOROL instead. Its cheaper. *hopes it works*
So Tired
Oh my god, I am starting to get tired again.
I had these fatigue earlier this summer when I wasn't working out. I have stopped working out this week due to my poor time management skills. And god... it really sucks to be dead sleepy at EIGHT OCLOCK pm!!
I've started taking Korean Ginseng and I will start working out every day again tomorrow. I don't think I will ever stop working out for long periods of time ever again. The benefits it took to my hair, my skin, my emotions, my energy. It was amazing. I really need to learn how to follow my schedules so I don't have to stop working out ever again.
edit: An old HS friend just told me about ACAI! I've heard a lot about this for weight-loss, but I did't know it could give energy! Buying this immediately. Because the ginseng didn't work this morning!
My Texturizer
I have been texturising my hair...
I use Soft & Beautiful® Botanicals™ Texturizer. The chemical that straightens the hair is LITHIUM HYDROXIDE. It's a less harsh chemical than the typical relaxers (calcium hydroxide, guanine, etc). I think the PH level is slightly less. My guess is between 12 and 13 while usually you can bet your regular relaxer is at least 13.
With this texturiser, I left it in for 10 - 12 minutes. We smooth the chemical in the new growth and now my curls are exactly as the box says. Loosely curled. I was thinking of using the texture softner that I mentioned before, but it has the same chemicals as a relaxer. You can't smooth it at all, or your hair WILL be straight. If you make a mistake, you won't get the look you want. With a texturiser, my mom makes a lot of mistakes. One side of my head is curlier than the other. But at least there are still curls. Hum...
I think next time I need to strategically wash out wherever my mom put the chemical FIRST first for better results. So anyway, I washed it out with water for a few minutes, then I put the nuetralising shampoo twice. A third time, I left it on for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, I used the conditioner and left it on for 5 to 10 minutes. My hair was incredibly soft. I ruined it by using Aphogee 2 minute re constructor, though. And lastly, them moisturiser that comes with the pack is just jherri curl juice!! Which works well when I use it as a deep conditioner, but not as a moisturiser!
For next time I will be sure to use Aphogee 2 step a week before I relax. I will be sure to deep condition every other day while my hair is no in weave or braids because last time that gave me great results. I'll be sure to only do moisture treatment after textursing. And we'll see how that goes. :)
